The Edge of the Blade: Fireworks Aplenty

Jeffe Kennedy's Jepp, star of The Edge of the Blade, is one of the most kickass protagonists I've ever read. She's also one of my favorites. Jepp doesn't just deal with a problem, she attacks it. As deadly with her tongue as she is with her blades, she meets her match in Kral, an equally strong, equally determined prince who doesn't get Jepp at all. Not at first, that is. Their exchanges spark throughout the book, with fireworks aplenty. Kennedy's Uncharted Realm novel, a continuation of her 12 Kingdoms series, percolates with battles, a multifaceted romance, and some lip-smacking sex. Put it all together and you've got a humdinger of a novel.
